"This was easy and right, no division, no confusion, no objection, just Ian and me, the molten rock moving through this new body, melding it into the pact."

I am very glad that Melanie and Wanda are in separate bodies, because I believe that this is a perfect way to make them both happy. I can’t imagine having to share my body with someone else, and I’m sure that it must be a relief for them to not have to do so anymore. I think it’s wonderful that Melanie can finally be with Jared and Wanda can finally be with Ian without having to worry about the other one objecting to it, and it makes me happy to know that they are both happy.

"Thank you for bringing me back."

I really like this idea, and I’m glad that Wanda kissed Jared to bring Melanie back. It really worries me that Melanie can’t remember how long she was gone or where she was at, and I hope that she never leaves for that long again, because I would be very upset if she was gone forever. I’m so happy that Wanda cared to try to bring Melanie back, instead of just giving up on getting her back, because that would’ve made me very sad and caused me to completely dislike Wanda.

" 'I’m a fighter. All of us who are left are fighters. And, you know, I woulda pegged Mel for a fighter, too.' "

I think this idea shows how smart Jeb is, because Melanie is definitely a fighter. I think it would be ridiculous not to fight to keep control over your body if you can, because life is definitely something that should be cherished. Therefore, this idea makes me happy in saying how every human who is left is a fighter, because if they all didn’t fight back to the best of their ability, that would make me think that their lives weren’t as valuable to them as they should be, which would make me feel really sad.

"You never know how much time you’ll have."

This idea makes me sympathize with Melanie, and I’m sad that she didn’t get to live longer before having a host injected inside of her. I think it’s definitely true that nobody knows how much time they have left, and it’s unfortunate that there are some people who don’t get to live for very long. I’m glad that Melanie is still fighting to not give up possession of her mind, and I really hope that she ends up getting it back completely to herself.

"And..this was my body."

I disagree with Wanderer, because I believe that the body belongs to Melanie. Melanie was the one who was born in the body; Wanderer was implanted inside of the body with Melanie still fighting to not lose control over it, so therefore, I think the body is definitely Melanie’s body. I think it’s completely wrong for the hosts to kill other humans so they can live in those bodies themselves, and I definitely don’t think taking over their bodies makes them their own, because the previous people who were inside of the bodies didn’t leave voluntarily.
